While monsters themselves can be pretty terrifying, it's often those creatures we associate with regularly which truly have the potential to do us harm. From pets to exotic animals, our interactions with nature always invite the possibility of deadly encounters. And, while several killer animal movies often utilize extremely exaggerated representations of typical animal behaviors, the consequent memories manifested from exposure to these films seem to remain relevant to our everyday encounters: though we know a Jaws-like monster isn't really lurking in the ocean, the fact that great whites swim among us is enough to create irrational paranoia. Thus, to celebrate this great and often overlooked sub-genre, I've created a list of the wide array Evil/Killer Animal/Pet/Plant//Nature Movies of the 1980s.
