According to both the Hollywood Reporter and the NY Daily News, director and 80s horror icon Wes Craven has passed away. Having directed a number of iconic films in the 70s and moving into legendary status with his A Nightmare on Elm Street from 1984, Wes Craven cemented himself as one of the greatest horror directors of all time.
In addition to A Nightmare on Elm Street, Craven directed a number of other memorable 80s horror films. From Shocker to Deadly Friend, Craven provided us with a lifetime of scares. As such, 80shorror.net will be devoting this week (Craven Week) to the horror icon. RIP and thanks for the scares, Wes.
