Don't judge a film by its (awesome) cover.
I watched "Deadtime Stories" for the first time yesterday! Yet another anthology film from 1986. Moderately enjoyable, but in the end, not very good. Visually, the film captured that kind of otherworldly grittiness, sort of akin to Evil Dead; however, the stories themselves seemed to get worse as the film went on and just sort of devolved into utter absurdity. I might end up doing a video review later, but for now, this one gets:
