The Best Horror Movies of the 80s: Top 10 Horror Movies From 1989

While never quite reaching the level of several of the years before it, 1989 still served as an important year for horror. Though the traditional 80s feel and aesthetic was still ubiquitous,  new trends could also begin to be detected; ones which, of course, would play a vital role in the shift to the early 90s. Though no true classics emerged from 89', perhaps the most infamous film, Puppet Master, did see its birth. The film itself, though certainly not without its flaws, boosted Full Moon pictures (which was created in the same year) into the mainstream horror market. 89' also  proved to be a big year for Robert Englund, who continued his role in the 5th Elm Street film of the decade and also completed his directorial debut with the underrated 976 Evil. Below, I've listed what I deem to be the best 10 horror movies from 1989. Enjoy and let me know how you'd rank this year!
